Quality Cooperation between Subaru and Toyota

Not long after Subaru introduced the new generation Forester at the 2023 LA Auto Show, information about integrating hybrid technology from Toyota into this model has attracted attention. The technology will use high-quality batteries and electrical components, setting a new standard for performance and fuel economy. Subaru of America COO Jeff Walters revealed, “We can’t announce anything yet in terms of specs or performance. But this powertrain will use a Toyota-sourced battery (and electrical components) combined with a boxer engine.”

History of Successful Cooperation

Subaru and Toyota have had successful collaboration projects before, such as the 86 and BRZ duo, Crosstrek Hybrid, second generation BRZ and GR86, as well as the bZ4X and Solterra duo. This new partnership marks an important step forward in sharing technology and innovation between the two automakers.

Outstanding Upgrade of Forester 2024

The new generation Forester has been introduced with many significant improvements. Not only is the vehicle body larger in size, but it also has a stiffer chassis structure, intelligent EyeSight ADAS system, and a redesigned exterior with bold class.

Engine Performance and Fuel Economy

Forester 2024 is equipped with a 2.5L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder boxer engine. Although maximum power is slightly reduced to 180 horsepower, maximum torque increases to 241 Nm, enhancing driving performance and fuel economy.
